About Me
Peace! My name is Alula Hunsen, and I hold a masters degree in city planning from MIT; I’m also a researcher and a writer, and I’m the Editorial Manager at the Boston Ujima Project (producing liberatory urban narratives).
I studied math, economic development, participatory research, and culture, and I write about design, culture, music, history, policy, justice; anything that irks my ire or holds my heart. I’ve also been experimenting with story-poems—and I’m looking to publish with a few other writers this year.
You can find my CV here, which has most of my previous publications; I also have links to all my clips and articles as the second tab on this site.
If you would like to hit me via email with tips, ideas, or just to hit me, it’s alula.hunsen@gmail.com, ahunsen@mit.edu, or alula@ujimaboston.com. My socials are @alulahussen on twitter, instagram, and threads.
